Jumbo Interactive kept the news flowing this week, the lotteries retailer and SaaS solutions provider announcing both national and international developments.
On Monday, Jumbo announced that the Lotterywest white-label website www.oz.lotterywest.com is now live and fully operational. Under the agreement, Jumbo will provide its online software platform and services to Lotterywest for up to the next 10 years, and has agreed to transition its WA customers to Lotterywest.
As a result, Jumbo also ceased sales of Tabcorp products to its WA customers from 21 December 2020, consistent with the terms of the company’s 10-year agreements with Tabcorp, first announced on 29 June 2020.
CEO of Jumbo, Mr Mike Veverka noted, “The successful completion was the result of the excellent working relationship between the Lotterywest and Jumbo project teams who were both focused on ensuring an uninterrupted first-class customer experience”.
While on Wednesday, Jumbo entered into six-year Software-as-a-Service agreement with St Helena Hospice, a leading UK charity, to provide its online lottery software platform. Under the agreement, St Helena will utilise a modified version of Jumbo’s lottery platform to manage its entire lottery sales of ~£5.0 million p.a.
The initial term of the agreement will be six years from the ‘go-live date’ planned for July 2021, with an option to extend for a further five years.
The St Helena SaaS agreement is the second step for Jumbo’s operations in the UK charity lottery market. Together with the recent acquisition of Gatherwell, Jumbo has two solutions for a range of charities from small start-ups to sophisticated large-scale operations.
