The Talga Group share price is up over 20% today on the company announcement regarding their successfully completed Lithium battery plant.
The battery and materials company Talga announced the commissioning of its electric vehicle qualification plant in Luleå, Sweden.
The electric vehicle plant which is Europe’s first Li-ion battery plant, will produce huge scale commercial samples of Talga’s coated anode material for battery customers. The plant was commissioned on time and on budget, which is a huge indicator compared to other projects at the moment.
Plant production stages includes shaping and coating to produce Talga’s flagship Li-ion battery anode. The production process will use graphite concentrate from the company’s Vittangi graphite project, with the their vertically integrated business model.
The plant will be officially launched at an event on Friday 1 April 2022 attended by customers, government officials and local stakeholders. A community open day will be held on 2 April 2022.
